Intensive Workshops on communication techniques to oncologists

The Creative Accompaniment Centre gives tuition on palliative care to health care professionals in several countries in Europe

We have recently finished the residential workshop Making Bridges: From Solitude to Partnership organized by Daruieste Viata Association from Bucarest. They are doing an excellent job to improve the conditions of oncology departments; also providing training to health care professionals. The training took place in a beautiful cottage near Brasov and focused on communication techniques. We met with 30 oncologists that made the effort to come from different parts Romania.

An experiential workshop in communication techniques

In this workshop we are going to introduce Creative Accompaniment as a working model to improve communication between oncologist, patients and families. Participants will have the opportunity to find new answers to deal with complicated situations at work. They will be able to get in contact with feelings concerning their own death reaching a state of compassion and understanding; essential for establishing a partnership with severely ill patients and families.
