Libro Acompañamiento Creativo

The book “Acompañamiento Creativo: Metodología para el cuidado del niño y el adolescente con enfermedad terminal y su familia” was introduced by the Director of Public Health of Valencian Community D. Manuel Escolano Puig the 30th of May 2008 in Valencia.

The book shows our working model and offers guidelines for health care professionals who work with children and adolescents who suffered from a terminal illness. Using clinical cases the book tackles themes such as communication techniques, working in the hospital setting, home visits, helping serenely ill adolescents, the bereavement process and care of carers.

During the meeting “Strategies and steps in palliative care in Spain Nacional Health Care Service” which took place in Madrid the 8th of October of 2008, our book was awarded for his contribution of good praxis in palliative care.
