Workshop at Light of My Eyes Foundation for Sick Children (Pecs, Hungary)

On 10th and 11th October 2014 Rubén Bild e Iván Gómez will run a new experiential workshop for health care professionals working at the Hospice Light of My Eyes Foundation for Sick Children.

 

FACING ADVERSITY WITH COURAGE AND HOPE: An experiential workshop in Paediatric Palliative Care

In this workshop we are going to introduce Creative Accompaniment as a working model in Paediatric Palliative Care. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and challenge the dark and the bright side of themselves in order to improve their skills. They will be able to get in contact with feelings concerning their own death reaching a state of compassion; essential for their work with dying children and families.

  • The meaning of courage, love and hope.
  • Profiting from uncertainty.
  • Challenging conversations at the end of life.
  • Creative Accompaniment as a working model.
  • Silence as a therapeutic tool.
  • Working with the worst in us.
  • Facing our own death.
  • Looking after ourselves.
